Tanguy Ndombele (Tottenham, £54 Million) The 22-year-old was a standout midfielder in the Champions League last season. He has brilliant passing ability, and although not a born goalscorer, he is happy to take some risks to move his time up the field. In today’s’ market, with his age and skills, definitely a bargain.
Youri Tielemans (Leicester, £35 Million) Tielemans’ seems like a quality signing with his creativity, class, and youth. At only 22, he sure has a great career ahead of him. Surprisingly, he didn’t receive much interest from a top-6 side.
Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal, £72 Million) Unai Emery didn’t have too many quality options on the flanks last season, hence the signing of Pepe. He will no doubt be combining with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to complete an explosive front three. The 24-year-old scored 23 Ligue 1 goals for Lille last season and Arsenal will be looking for him to do the same this season and fire them back into the top four.
Rodri (Manchester City, £63 Million) At just 23 years-old, Rodri is likely to be a long-term replacement for Fernandinho. Few can offer what Fernandinho does with his excellence in both defense and possession. City will be looking for Rodri to fill those boots. The midfielder was the only player to make more than 100 tackles in La Liga last season and gained the reputation for winning the ball back easily.
Moise Kean (Everton, £29 Million) Everton never really replace Romelu Lukaku when they sold him to Manchester United and this is what they are looking to do by signing Kean. He is a potent forward, who averaged a goal every 89 minutes in Serie A last season. Just what Everton need to combine with Richarlison and Sigurdsson.
Daniel James (Manchester United, £15 Million) He broke through in the Championship to become one of the most sought-after young players around. James played 33 games for Swansea last season, with 4 goals and 7 assists. His blistering pace, direct dribbling abilities, and aggressive pressing attributes is likely the reason he caught Ole’s eye. He will slot into Uniteds’ counter-attacking style of play and is likely to win them a bundle of set pieces.
Jay Rodriguez (Burnely, £10 Million) A Burnley lad returning to his hometown club. He scored 22 goals in the Championship last year and looks a great fit to play both infront of and alongside Chris Wood or Ashley Barnes.
Pablo Fornals (West Ham, £24 Million) With West Ham already having numerous attacking midfield options including; Lanzini, Anderson, Yarmolenko, Antonio, and Wilshere, it was surprising they brought another. However, Fornals seems like a serious player. He finished joint-most assists in La Liga in the 2017/18 along with Suarez and Messi. £24million seems like a bargain to me.
Dean Henderson (Sheffield United, Loan) Henderson was excellent on loan at Bramall Lane from Manchester United last season, helping Sheffield United notch up the joint-best defensive record in the Championship last season. He’s only played two seasons of first-team football but has managed to help both Shrewsbury and Sheffield United outperform expectations. He will be an important asset for the Blades.
